Wire rope load and distance monitoring is offered as an option via an in-line load monitor that is suitable for both safe area or Zone II hazardous area use.

The in-line monitor consists of a steel frame that houses three wheels in triangular formation that fit directly onto the winch wire rope. One wheel is fitted with a shaft encoder that measures deflection within the winch wire rope as the load increases or decreases. Winch load and speed is transmitted to a readout box with LED display via an armoured electric supply cable. The readout box can be positioned away from the in-line monitor so that winch loads can be monitored from any suitable area. An electric supply of either 110v or 240v is required to illuminate the readout box LED display.

Installation is simplistic and only requires suitable restraint to secure the in-line monitor in position when mounted onto the winch wire rope.
