The model 40 is a Trailer Mounted Bullhead type pulling winch,
designed specifically for hauling through ducts and trenches.
The bullheads are driven by a Lister 2 cylinder diesel engine
via a manually controlled forward & reversing gear train.
The storage drum is driven automatically from the bullhead
drive via V belts. The bullhead 'pay-in' and 'pay-out' are
controlled via manually operated clutch and 4 speed reversing
gear, levers. A calibrated load indication dial is located
adjacent to these levers.
The winch is fitted with an adjustable length boom, which
when not in use can be stored on the trailer. The two wheeled
trailer is road worthy and conforms to current EC regulations.
