The model 21/60 is a
trailer mounted drum winch originally designed for pulling through
open trenches. A lifting and man-riding version have since been
developed to meet the demands of the utilities industries. The
winch drum is powered by a braked hydraulic motor driven by
a Lister 2 cylinder hydraulic pump set.
A manually operated drum de-clutch is standard on the pulling
winch, and a secondary drum mounted band brake is standard on
the lifting and man-riding versions.
The drum 'pay-out' and 'pay-in' are controlled via a manually
operated hydraulic control valve located on the control panel,
which also houses the calibrated load indication dial. The winch
is fitted with drop down jacks and sprag which folds away neatly
when not in use.
The two wheeled trailer is road worthy and conforms to current
EC regulations.
