The model 45 is a Trailer Mounted Capstan type pulling winch,
designed specifically for hauling light cables through ducts
and trenches.
The Capstan is driven by a single cylinder petrol engine via
a gearbox, chain drive and centrifugal clutch.
The storage drum is driven automatically from the capstan
drive via V belts and has a manual de-clutch facility which
enables rope to be pulled out by hand.
The Capstan 'pay-in' and 'pay-out' are controlled by the engine
throttle control lever and centrifugal clutch which ensures
a smooth power take up. The trailer is fitted with 3 jacks
and front and rear anchoring lugs.
The Trailer may be fitted with an adjustable boom. The two
wheeled trailer is intended for site towing only.
