Rotrex Winches were recently contacted by a leading special effects company to help them with just this problem.
A scene from Pirates of the Caribbean 4,starring Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz and Ian McShane, required a canon to be dragged smoothly up a hill.
The Ingersoll Rand Air Winch specified and subsequently hired to them was an ideal choice due to its high speed, lifting capabilities and compact design, all of which met the customer’s specific requirements.
Unfortunately for our winch’s blossoming acting career the final film shows several horses looking as though they are pulling the cannon!! The power of CGI!!
