The Thompson lynx is a small, lightweight and portable self
tailing capstan winch. Designed to meet the exacting standards of
industry today, it is ideal for laying and pulling underground cables
through trenches and ducts.
The Lynx is powered by a single cylinder 13 horse power
petrol engine and is capable of achieving a maximum line pull of
1,000kg at high speeds, making it extremely versatile and suitable
for a variety of applications.
The manually operated spooling device Further enhances the machines
ease of use and cable control by one operator. The hauling bond
being kept in-line and synchronised with the pulley wheels during
all pulling applications.
The complete design incorporates a light, yet strong frame work
and a conveniently located toolbox, keeping tools readily at hand.
An integral telescopic boom acts both as o chock during hauling
and assists in the manoeuvrability of the Lynx on-site, the latter
being further assured with the fitting of pneumatic rough terrain
tyres as standard.
