Tiger

The Thompson Tiger is a heavy duty,
general utility winch. Designed to meet the exacting standards of
industry today, the Tiger is perfect for all types of cable
pulling, overhead line and tower work.
The Tiger is powered by a twin cylinder 15 horse power, water
cooled diesel engine, driving tandem hydraulic pumps. infinitely variable
speeds are achieved via the proportional directional control valve.
The Tiger comes in three models: haulage, with a de-clutchable
drum and single auto - failsafe brake; lifting, with additional auto-failsafe
band brake; and man-rider, with dual auto failsafe brakes and 10:1
factor of safety.
The winching system is mounted on a fully galvanised chassis base
and fitted with overrun brakes, towing and lighting systems, in accordance
with the current EEC regulations. As standard the system is totally
enclosed within a glass reinforced plastic, lockable canopy.
To provide stability during cable pulling operations, the Tiger
has rear drop-down spades and kick down jacks. |
